I finally watched Twilight!
‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon’
This week Mark and I have seen Twilight for the first time, and I now recognise what all the commotion has been about!
We never jumped on the band wagon when the film first came out in 2008, and are usually a bit slow on the uptake with new trends! However, I have to say, I found it completely mesmerizing although I don’t speak for Mark, for even though he enjoyed it, he didn’t quite get it on the level on which it captures and appeals to so many girls, and women.
With its range of complex emotions and realistic portrayal of the female psyche, this is something every female I have spoken to, it seems, can relate to. It is a truly amazing and very well shot film which I would recommend to all.
So, having watched Twilight on the Saturday, Mark and I went to see ‘New Moon’, at the cinema on Wednesday evening! It didn’t disappoint and left me wanting to see more. I am now quite determined to get the books and read both ‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon’ before the next film, ‘Eclipse’ is released next Summer.
This weekend, my friend Lisa came to visit us and it turns out she too is fascinated by the ‘Twilight’ phenomenon. I am a little bit embarrassed to admit we watched the entire film again on Saturday evening! Ok, maybe I am becoming a little bit obsessed! (I will give it a break now for a few weeks and maybe get the books at Christmas!)
